Joint Pain - Simple Home Remedies
Because they can cause problems in the normal functioning
and function of the body, joint pains can be very detrimental. Ayurvedic experts believe
that joint pains are caused by digestive problems. This leads to the buildup
toxins between the joints. When the joints
move in any way, pain can be felt.
Many people suffer from severe joint pains that won't
stop despite treatments. These pains are part of growing up. These pains can be completely eliminated if you have the
right medicine.
Simple Home Remedies for Treatment
Remedy #1
Use the juice from a ginger. Make vidanga (Embelia
Ribes, False Black Pepper) into a fine powder using some rock salt. Combine all the ingredients and mix them with honey in
three-gram increments. This should be
taken thrice daily.
Remedy #2
The oil from the Bishop's weed seeds can be used to
massage the joints. Before massaging, warm the oil. Massaging the oil of neem, Azadirachta indica or Indian
Margosa for relief can provide similar results.
Remedy #3
If you have joint pains from cold weather, boil two cups
of water with a handful of Bishop's weed seed and one teaspoon salt. This should be strained
through a sieve. Next, place a clean cloth on top. The warm solution will cause the cloth to become dampened. This cloth can be used to inflame the painful joints. This will relieve the pain.
Remedy #4
When lifting heavy weights, some joint pains can be more
severe in the knees and fingers. These persistent pains are not easily treated and can last for
years. Because of their high vitamin C
content, tomatoes provide the best treatment for such pains. You should eat four to five fresh tomatoes per day. Also,
you should eat one bowl of thick tomato soup twice daily - one in the morning
and one in the evening. After a fortnight,
you will feel great relief.
Remedy #5
If you experience sudden and sharp joint pains in any
area of your body, grind some amalaki (Emblicaofficinalis, Indian Gooseberry)
into warm water. Add a little
bit of cardamom to the water. This mixture
should be consumed once daily. This will
preserve the body's vitality and prevent any sudden pains in various parts.
Remedy #6
Make a paste with groundnut oil from a yellow oleander
petal. This paste
should be used regularly to treat joint pains. The pains will disappear if you continue to use the paste.
Remedy #7
Garlic cloves can be ground and applied to the affected
areas. The pain
will disappear in no time. The problem
with this remedy? It must be rinsed off in a matter of minutes or you will get
boils.
Remedy #8
Make a paste from mustard seeds and a small amount of
water. This oily
paste should be applied to the affected joints. In a matter of minutes, the pain will disappear.
Remedy #9
Although this is an effective way to relieve joint pains,
it requires patience. The following is how to eat castor seeds every morning,
starting after you wake up. The first day,
you should eat one castor seed. On the second and third days, two more are
recommended. You can reduce the number of
castor seed by one starting at the eighth day. Keep doing this until the number is one. The joint pains will disappear by that point.
Remedy #10
In water, boil some Bishop's weed seeds. The fumes will come out
when the water is boiling. The fumes can
be brought to the affected joints. The
joint pains will disappear.
Remedy #11
In a saucepan, heat some bitter oil. Some Bishop's weed seeds
and garlic cloves can be added to the oil. This oil can be used to massage the areas where you have
frequent joint pains. If used diligently,
this remedy can be used to relieve any type of joint pain.
Remedy #12
Two cloves garlic should be crushed and mixed with some
sesame oil. Massage the
oil into the affected areas. This therapy
will bring you immense benefits.
Remedy #13
A simple steam fomentation using a cloth can be used if
the pains aren't too severe. The vapors must be absorbed into the cloth and pressed down
on the affected areas. Fomentation should
be performed at least 20 minutes per day, and preferably at night.
Remedy #14
Make a ginger juice in castor oil. You should not take more
than 10 milliliters castor oil and one teaspoonful of the ginger juice. This can be taken twice daily, at dawn and dusk, on an empty
stomach.
Ayurvedic Treatments
Because joint pains can be caused by the accumulation of
ama in the joints, it is important to get rid of all toxins. The patient is required to
fast for one day. Then, dry heat is used
to foment the swelling joints. Ayurveda uses castor oil extensively to massage
joint pains. Galangal, garlic and
guggul are some of the herbs that are prescribed in different potencies. Dashamoolarishta, the most common preparation, is usually
prescribed for treatment that lasts three weeks.
